| Walther was founded in 1886 by Carl Walther. It started with hunting and target rifles, and then began producing pistols in 1908. They made pistols more concealable and therefore a more attractive choice for police and militaries around the globe. Adolf Hitler’s suicide was actually done using a Walther PPK. They were among the world’s first, successful double action semi-automatic pistols. Their pistols have been used by militaries and law agencies and even featured in James Bond novels and movies. Smith and Wesson recently announced plans to begin distributing Walther guns in the United States. They are currently offering handguns, lasers, sights, and other accessories. |
