| W.W. Greener was founded by William Greener in 1829 and then made famous by his son William Wellington Greener. The company is currently operated by the fifth generation of Greener: Graham Greener. Talented gun makers David Dryhurst and Richard Tandy are two of the directors in charge of the company's current production of shotguns and rifles. The company originally set up shop in Newcastle but relocated to Birmingham in 1844 because it was easier to get materials there. 1835 saw the innovation of the expansive bullet. English Royalty including Prince Albert have purchased these guns. They are currently focusing on sporting guns. They also began adding relief engraving to their guns, making them as attractive as they are accurate. |
