| About: |
| Parker Hale is also a United Kingdom firearms and air rifle manufacturer found in Birmingham, England. Founded by A. G. Parker and Arthur Hale in 1880, they started out making high quality precision shooting accessories. They found a way to convert service rifles to .22 calibre so that they could be used for teaching recruits the art of shooting. This innovation involved combining the Parkerifling process with the Hiscock-Parker magazine. They were well known in the mid-twentieth century for possessing one of the finest barrel producing plants in all of Europe. They invented the all-British barrel cold forging systems, combined them with double spindle deep hole drillers and are known for producing a perfectly finished bore that offers incredibly fine tolerances. After the Dunblane massacre and a national ban of handguns Parker-Hale was unable to continue operations and the business was sold to Midlands engineering group, Modular Industries. |
